It began with a hooding ceremony in the morning. The point & wink are in response to wild cheers from the audience (ahem, Dad & Brother Bear). :)

Both sets of parents were in town for the celebration...
...as were our summer roommates, John & Brooke. :)

We couldn't have made it through these past two years in LA without great friends like Dani & Nathan Swisher.

...and that's most of the Rosemead graduating class!
In the evening, we went back to Biola for the school-wide graduate program commencement ceremony. The weather was crappy, and it was sprinkling off and on, which was a potential nightmare as the ceremony was held outside on the university lawn. Luckily, it stopped raining right before Matt's name was called. Believe you me, the people with the umbrellas in front of me would have been sorry if I'd have missed the crucial moment!

Notably missing was Matt's youngest brother, Luke, who lives in San Diego. Luke was taking the MCAT (Med School entrance exam) all day Friday, so he came up the following day to hang. An attempt to surf this morning turned out to be a waste of $10 to park near the Huntington Beach pier since there were no waves.
So we all went shopping instead. :)
Congrats, honey!

Congratulations Matt!! I'd say something clever, but it'd be lame compared to the comment you left.
Congratulations! I'm excited for you. Hope to see you guys soon!
