We missed Kaleb's kids party at Pump It Up on Friday night, though something tells me that between the bounce houses, toys, and friends, we weren't missed. :) We decided to take him out for a special playdate on Saturday morning to celebrate his birthday instead.
Stop one was Target for Kaleb to pick out his own birthday present. I'm not kidding when I say I think he touched every single toy in the 'boy section' of the toy aisle and asked, "What's this?" in his adorable, high-pitched little guy voice. So cute. He finally settled on a spiderman car, play doh, and some goldfish crackers. :) We were all hungry so we asked Kaleb what he wanted for lunch and he enthusiastically told us "a quesadilla"! After lunch, we headed to to park for some play time, then back home. It was so fun to hang out with him!
Later that day, we had lots of family and friends over to my parents house to celebrate Dad's big 5-0! Matt & John manned the grill, Grandma made a fabulous carrot cake, and Mom spoiled us with chocolate cupcakes. We played a slideshow with photos of Dad from birth to now, and it was so fun to see the progression! One of my favorites that we dug up is the fabulously retro photo of my dad with some of his siblings and their grandma seen below. My dad is second from the right. So wonderful!
