Congrats to our favorite Lukums! He graduated last weekend from Point Loma with a B.S. degree in Biology-Chemistry with honors (magna cum laude and an honors research project). So, basically, he's a huge smarty pants! We are so proud of him! That makes three (yes, three) Tatum boys to have graduated from PLNU, and four Tatums if you count little 'ol in-law me. :)

The following day we all went to the San Diego Zoo for some good old fashioned family time! I have a special fondness for this zoo, since I spent many a spring afternoon there researching & observing for my bio classes. It was so fun to see the world through Kaleb's eyes, especially since he's talking so much now and is basically the cutest thing ever.

I think it's hilarious how Matt carries Abby like she's a football. Truth be told, she loves to be held like that, and after a few minutes of holding her you're forced to switch positions because she's, ahem, filling out nicely. :) Check out that sweet blond head of hair!
My favorite animals - the giraffes! In their new exhibit, too! The babies were so cute!! Did you know that when giraffe babies are born, they fall six feet to the ground? A fall from that height seems scary, but it's actually critical for them to take their first breath. And there's your random fact of the day.
